The Canvas Belt

Everyone hates war. But military-inspired clothing is apparently in right now.

We were walking through Vineyard Vines the other day and I came across a canvas belt. Just a straight-up, no-frills, “d-ring”, military inspired, navy canvas belt. Surprisingly, I couldn’t even see a logo anywhere on the belt. Yet the price was an astounding $78!

There was no way in hell that I was going to pay $78 for a canvas belt.

I opened up Amazon, searched for canvas belt and decided to buy two belts for around $20 – a quarter of the price of a single belt at Vineyard Vines.

I opted first for the Maikun Canvas Belt with black d-ring. There is an incredible 19 different color options to order from, and I opted for the black color to match my black urban fox shoes with a white sole. Belt arrived in 2 days (thank you, Amazon Prime) and it was everything I expected: a straight-up, no-frills, d-ring, military inspired, black canvas belt. The fit is true to size and it fits great. All for the low cost of around $9.

Given how budget friendly these belts are, I also picked up another belt – this time, I went for the vacy/cream canvas belt from BC Belts Store. Like the first, this is also a no-frills d-ring, canvas belt. Material was great, the d-ring is sewn to the belt, and the fit was as expected. This one cost around $10.

Both may be inexpensive, but they are high quality and everything you need in a canvas belt. I would definitely suggest you pick one, or two, or three up – they are perfect for casual summer wear or for your slightly more casual, return to office business casual attire.
